Gov. Kemp Signs Historic Tax Cuts Into Law

The measure will accelerate the largest income tax cut in state history

NFIB State Director Hunter Loggins said Georgia’s small business owners are grateful to Gov. Brian Kemp for signing HB 1015 into law today during a ceremony in Augusta. The measure will accelerate the largest income tax cut in Georgia history.

“Accelerating the state income tax cuts will have a big impact on Main Street businesses. Inflation continues to drive up the cost of doing business in Georgia and throughout the country,” Loggins said. “HB 1015 will allow small businesses to keep more of the money they bring in, enabling them to hold prices in check, grow their businesses, and hire more workers.”

Mychal Walker, chairman of the NFIB Georgia Leadership Council and managing director of the Walker Agency LLC in Duluth, said, “Running a small business is never easy, but rising prices make it even harder. HB 1015 will help small businesses like mine by relieving some our financial pressure.”
