This year has brought several key wins—and progress—for small business owners on a range of labor issues, from defeating the Persuader Rule to a key SCOTUS victory.
Employees are small business owners’ most valuable resource. But the government has made training and retaining these workers more difficult than ever.
NFIB has advocated for years for greater freedom for small businesses to lead their employees in the best way they know how to, and has recently scored a number of historic victories on labor issues, even as other challenges loom on the horizon.
“No one understands how regulations affect employees more than small business owners. Recent wins on small business issues are proving to be beneficial for businesses across the country,” says NFIB’s President and CEO Juanita D. Duggan. “Revoking the persuader rule and eliminating the overtime rule has allowed Main Street to grow the economy in historic numbers.”
