Getting legislators to sympathize with small business takes up the majority of NFIB’s lobbying time. When a legislator is also a small-business owner and a member of NFIB, so much the better. In a debate about House Bill 1317, Rep. Richard Holtorf, a rancher and farmer from Akron, who represents nine counties in eastern Colorado, invoked NFIB to make his point. We appreciate the attention and thank him for not only his public service but also for his membership in NFIB.
