On October 15th, NFIB Connecticut State Director Andy Markowski participated in a legislative roundtable with state representatives and other members of the business community to focus on workforce development.
“Finding and keeping skilled employees is one of the top 10 biggest priorities for NFIB members and other Connecticut employers,” State Director Markowski said. “These efforts toward workforce development will continue to be a priority for NFIB during the 2025 legislative session.”
State Representative Tim Ackert hosted the legislative roundtable discussion on workforce development, highlighting the increased need to grow our skilled labor workforce in Connecticut. “We believe that workforce development and growing our trades requires a multifaceted approach,” said Rep. Ackert, who noted the importance of engaging with a diverse range of perspectives on this topic from education to business, trade organizations, and housing.
