Small Business Owners Can Apply For Grants Now

Several bills were signed into law by Governor Murphy during the last week providing $85 million in grants to small businesses. NFIB testified in support of the entire package of bills.  The relief money which is COVID-19 federal aid, will be disbursed as grants through the state’s New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA).  Restaurants will be getting $35 million, microbusinesses (five employees or less) will be getting $25 million, day care centers will be getting $10 million, and another $15 million will be going to miscellaneous other businesses and nonprofits.  The EDA will begin accepting applications on April 19.
