Utah Small Businesses Endorse Mike Kennedy for Election to Congress

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (Oct. 10, 2024) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, endorsed Mike Kennedy for election to the U.S. House of Representatives to represent Utah’s 3rd Congressional District.

“As a physician and attorney, Mike Kennedy brings a unique blend of expertise in healthcare and law, which has shaped his approach to public service,” said Casey Hill, NFIB Utah State Director. “Throughout his career, Kennedy has been a strong advocate for policies that promote economic growth and make owning and operating a business in Utah more affordable. With a proven record of leadership and service, he is poised to represent the values and interests of Main Street in Congress. We are proud to endorse him today.”

“I’ve worked with my colleagues in the Utah Legislature to deliver over $1 billion in tax relief for Utahns,” said Mike Kennedy. “The NFIB endorsement reflects my commitment to supporting small businesses and giving them the freedom to run their lives and businesses without unnecessary government interference. In Washington, I’ll focus on cutting red tape and lowering taxes so people can keep more of what they earn. As a small business owner, I understand that true relief comes from empowering individuals to thrive on their terms.”

“Mike Kennedy has a proven track record of being pro-small business,” said Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director.  “As a small business owner himself, Kennedy is personally aware of the looming tax hike on small businesses and supports making the 20% Small Business Deduction permanent. We are confident he will remain a dedicated small business advocate in Congress, and we are pleased to endorse him.”

The endorsement is issued from NFIB FedPAC, NFIB’s political action committee. NFIB FedPAC is funded by voluntary contributions by NFIB members over and above their membership dues. Decisions made by the NFIB FedPAC are managed by a member-driven grassroots evaluation.
