The Illinois General Assembly is scheduled to reconvene in Springfield November 12-14 and November 19-21 for its fall Veto Session.
The legislature has no vetoes to consider, as Governor Pritzker did not veto any bills this year. It will take up other issues—possibly including business and environmental regulations—but no agenda has been publicly announced, and new legislation has yet to be filed.
Due to the lack of vetoes or other pressing matters, the legislative leaders may opt to cancel some of the scheduled session days. The General Assembly could also hold a lame-duck session in early January to consider controversial legislation before the swearing-in of the 104th General Assembly on January 8.
