Buy Missouri Week Showcases Small Business Owners’ Important Contributions to Our Communities

JEFFERSON CITY (Oct. 14, 2024) – Recognizing the start of Buy Missouri Week, which began Saturday, October 12, and will run through Saturday, October 19, NFIB State Director Brad Jones highlighted the importance of supporting Missouri’s small and family-owned businesses.

“Missouri is home to incredible small business entrepreneurs and innovators who supply goods and services to their customers here in the state and around the world. These hardworking men and women are the foundation of our economy, providing good-paying jobs for our friends and neighbors. The Buy Missouri initiative showcases small business owners’ important contributions to our communities. This week, and every week, we encourage folks to support our small and family-owned businesses who keep our state thriving.”

“Buy Missouri Week is a great time to showcase the many incredible products made in our state. When we buy Missouri, we are creating jobs, investing in entrepreneurship, and keeping our hard-earned dollars in the local economy,” Lieutenant Governor Kehoe said. “My small business background has allowed me to better understand the importance of supporting small and local businesses. Claudia and I have enjoyed meeting many Buy Missouri members from across the state, hearing their stories, and learning more about the products they manufacture.”

Background:

As designated by the Missouri Legislature, Buy Missouri Week encourages citizens to purchase Missouri-made products in support of Missouri businesses and manufacturers.

Earlier this year, six of NFIB member small businesses were featured in the 2024 Buy Missouri Day at the Capitol. CLICK HERE to learn more.
