New York State Director Ashley Ranslow sat down for an in-studio interview with Spectrum News 1 to discuss the challenges facing small businesses in the state: “[Small businesses] are also dealing with all of these other issues that we as consumers are dealing with. Twenty-two percent of independent retailers identify inflation as their number one problem, many are dealing with labor shortages, still some issues related to other costs – higher gas prices, higher utility bills – all of these things are compounding to make it very difficult for small and independent businesses across the state.”
