NFIB’s award recognizes lawmakers for their support of Ohio’s small business
The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), Ohio’s leading small business advocacy organization, today presented its coveted Guardian of Small Business Award to state Rep. Adam Holmes (HD-97). The award is the most prestigious award that NFIB presents to legislators for their efforts to support small businesses.
“Rep. Holmes is a true champion of small business, and we are pleased to name him a Guardian today,” said Chris Ferruso, NFIB Ohio State Director. “As a small business owner and NFIB member, Rep. Holmes has a strong understanding of the issues impacting the small business community and has been a reliable advocate for them in the Statehouse. He earned a 95% NFIB Voting Record and was a lead sponsor of healthcare transparency legislation, a top issue for Ohio’s small employers. We are confident that he will continue to be a pro-small business legislator, and we are proud to recognize him today.”
Rep. Adam Holmes represents Ohio’s 97th House District, which includes all of Muskingum County and western Guernsey County. He has been an NFIB member since 1979. Ferruso presented the word to Representative Holmes at FruhQuip Inc., his NFIB member business in Zanesville.
“Our family business has been proud NFIB members for over 40 years and we are very honored to receive this award,” said Rep. Holmes. “Small businesses have always been America’s life blood, and we promise to continue to champion free enterprise and entrepreneurial spirit in the Ohio Statehouse.”
