The event allowed small business owners to speak with elected leaders about issues affecting them
State Director Julia Hammond led a delegation from Virginia to Washington last week to participate in the 2024 NFIB DC Fly-In.
The event gave small business owners the opportunity to engage with members of Congress including Rep. Jen Kiggans of Virginia’s 2nd District. Owners spoke about critical issues such as repealing the Corporate Transparency Act and saving the 20% Small Business Deduction, which is set to expire in 2025.
Hammond said, “NFIB is the voice of small business in Richmond and in Washington, but when elected officials hear directly from our members, it makes our voice even louder.”
