NFIB Wisconsin PAC announced its legislative endorsements today, featuring incumbents with proven track records of standing up for small businesses in Madison.
“From tackling the rising costs of doing business to addressing the severe labor shortages and easing the burden of excessive regulations, Wisconsin small business owners need support now more than ever,” stated NFIB Wisconsin State Director Bill G. Smith. “As we approach this crucial election, it’s critical Wisconsin lawmakers understand that the future of our state’s economy hinges on Main Street’s success and prioritize the pressing issues impacting our local entrepreneurs.”
Incumbent endorsements are based on the NFIB Wisconsin Voting Record, which scores legislators’ votes on key issues impacting small businesses. Current lawmakers must achieve at least a 70% score on the voting record to be considered for endorsement. Endorsements of candidates running in open seats are based on responses to questionnaires. The NFIB WI PAC Board—comprised of small-business owners from across the state—considers and approves state legislative endorsements.
