NFIB’s political action arm also recommends votes on four ballot initiatives

OLYMPIA, Wash., Sept. 12, 2024—Ready. Set. Campaign! The political action committee for Washington state’s largest and leading small business association today announced its final endorsements for the Washington State Legislature, a group of 21 incumbents, candidates running in open seats, and challengers to sitting incumbents.
The PAC also gave its recommendations on four ballot initiatives facing voters on November 5.
“We take a little more time and care in choosing the candidates we endorse for the Legislature, because we need to be sure they understand the differences between big businesses and mom-and-pop, Main Street, small enterprises in terms of public policy goals and impact,” said Patrick Connor, state director for NFIB in Washington, speaking for the WA NFIB PAC, which made the legislative endorsements.
Just as they were with WA NFIB PACs pre-Primary Election choices, incumbents endorsed today were judged on their 2023-2024 Voting Record on key issues of importance to a small business owner’s ability to own, operate, and grow their enterprise. In both rounds, candidates running in open seats and challengers to sitting incumbents were scored on their answers to a questionnaire.
Today’s endorsements of 21 candidates for the Legislature brings to 35 the total number of pre- and post-primary endorsements. The entire list and other election information tailored to small businesses can be read on this election webpage.
