Date: June 24, 2020

TOPEKA, KS (June 24, 2020) — The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, endorsed Steve Watkins today for re-election to the United States House of Representatives to represent Kansas’ 2nd Congressional District.

“Steve Watkins has been a proven champion for small businesses in Kansas,” said Dan Murray, NFIB’s Kansas State Director. “He has achieved a 100% voting record from NFIB on pro-small business issues. He has a true desire to know the challenges that small business owners are facing, and he always makes time to talk with our members. We are confident that he will continue to support our state’s small business community in Congress. On behalf of small businesses in Kansas’ 2nd Congressional District, we are proud to endorse Steve Watkins for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives.”

Steve Watkins has earned a 100% NFIB voting record for the 116th Congress.

“Small businesses need strong candidates now more than ever,” said NFIB National Political Director Sharon Sussin. “Steve Watkins’ voting record speaks for itself, and we are glad to endorse him for re-election today. We look forward to continuing to work with Steve Watkins in the U.S. House of Representatives.”

Steve Watkins’ endorsement today comes from NFIB FedPAC, the organization’s political action committee. NFIB FedPAC is funded by NFIB member donations above membership dues. Decisions made by NFIB FedPAC are managed by a member driven grassroots evaluation process. Small business owners are influential in their communities and NFIB members in Kansas will work hard to re-elect Steve Watkins to Congress.
