NFIB cites Candidate’s Small Business Background in Endorsement
Washington, D.C. (July 12, 2018) – NFIB, the nation’s leading small business advocacy association, today endorses NFIB member Pete Stauber for Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District at fellow NFIB member Brian Billman’s business, Real Closet, Inc., in Duluth.
“As an NFIB member and small business owner, Pete Stauber knows firsthand the challenges that small businesses face every day,” said NFIB’s Minnesota State Director Mike Hickey. “We are confident that Stauber will be a strong supporter of small business in the U.S. House, working hard to protect small business tax cuts, rein in burdensome regulations, and support healthcare that is flexible, affordable, and predictable for small businesses. On behalf of our members in Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District, we are proud to endorse Pete Stauber for election to the U.S. House of Representatives.”
Pete Stauber grew up in Duluth, Minnesota and owns Duluth Hockey Company with his brothers. The business has been an NFIB member since 2011.
“It is an honor to receive the endorsement of NFIB. When our small businesses are successful, jobs are created and our economy flourishes. In Congress, I will take my experiences as a small business owner and work towards a pro-growth business agenda that rewards the American entrepreneurial spirit,” said Pete Stauber.
“We know good small business policy starts with electing good small business candidates like Pete Stauber,” said NFIB National Political Director Sharon Sussin. “With his background as a small business owner, Stauber has a true understanding of the issues that concern our members. We are pleased to endorse him for election to the U.S. House and look forward to seeing his work for small businesses in Minnesota and across the country.”
NFIB is the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization. Pete Stauber’s endorsement today comes from the NFIB FedPAC, the organization’s political action committee. Small business owners vote in high percentages and they are influential in their communities. NFIB members in Minnesota will work hard to elect Pete Stauber to the U.S. House.
