Washington, D.C. (October 18, 2016) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading representative of small business owners, is endorsing Rep. Bruce Poliquin (ME-02) for re-election. Poliquin has a strong record of supporting legislation that would help small businesses and should be returned to the U.S. House of Representatives.
“Bruce Poliquin has been a great defender of Maine small business and deserves to be re-elected,” said NFIB/Maine State Director David Clough. “Federal regulations and high taxes make it hard to run a successful small business and we appreciate the Congressman’s votes to lift these burdens. Small business owners want to see Poliquin back in the U.S. House next year continuing to fight for economic freedom.”
Poliquin qualified for an endorsement from the NFIB by achieving a high rating on votes scored in the current Congress. The list of the votes is available here.
Poliquin’s endorsement today comes from the NFIB SAFE Trust, the organization’s political action committee. Small business owners vote in high percentages and they are influential in their communities.
