NFIB cites senator’s strong voting record in support of small business
Washington, D.C. (Mar. 22, 2018) – NFIB is endorsing U.S. Senator Deb Fischer of Nebraska for re-election to the U.S. Senate. In its endorsement, the leading small business group cited Senator Fischer’s strong voting record on small business issues.
“On behalf of our more than 4,000 small business owners in Nebraska, we are proud to endorse Senator Fischer for re-election to the United States Senate,” said NFIB Nebraska State Director Bob Hallstrom. “Senator Fischer has been a solid partner in the U.S. Senate for small businesses in Nebraska and was a crucial voice in the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.”
Senator Fischer qualified for an endorsement by NFIB by achieving a 100 percent rating on key votes scored in the current Congress. The list of scored votes is available here.
“I am pleased to earn the endorsement of small business leaders across our state. Working with these Nebraskans, we have lowered taxes and cut red tape so entrepreneurs can grow and create more good paying jobs. I am grateful for their support and look forward to continue fighting to help our small businesses thrive,” Sen. Fischer said.
“Senator Fischer is a proven advocate for small business,” said NFIB National Political Director Sharon Sussin. “Small business needs leaders like Senator Fischer who support small business issues in the Senate. Senator Fischer has a strong pro-business voting record, and she will continue to be an advocate for small business if re-elected.”
NFIB is the nation’s leading representative of small business owners. Senator Fischer’s endorsement today comes from the NFIB FedPAC, the organization’s political action committee. Small business owners vote in high percentages and they are influential in their communities. NFIB members in Nebraska will work hard to keep Senator Fischer in the U.S. Senate.
