NFIB Minnesota Announces Jonathan Boesche as New Director

The nation’s leading small-business association, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), today announced that Jonathan Boesche is their new State Director in Minnesota. Boesche will be responsible for all aspects of the organization’s state advocacy, operations, political engagement, communications, and programming on behalf of NFIB’s thousands of members across the state.

“We are very pleased to have Jonathan Boesche joining our team as Minnesota State Director,” said Charles Owens, NFIB’s Region Director for the Midwest. “Jon comes to us from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Minnesota where he was the Director of Government Affairs. In his role there, he represented the organization at legislative committee hearings, monitored legislation and regulatory developments, conducted research to develop lobbying strategies, and ensured accurate representation of the organization’s interests in policy discussions. Jon’s extensive experience in St. Paul has positioned him well to be an effective advocate for our more than 10,000 members in the state”.

“As the Director of Government Affairs for our hard-working small businesses in the construction trades, I have witnessed day-in and day-out the integral role of small and independent businesses in our communities,” said Boesche. “I’m looking forward to working for an organization that represents a diversity of small businesses and emphasize the critical role that they play in our state.”

In addition to his government affairs experience, Boesche was a Legislative Researcher with the Minnesota Senate for four years and also a Committee Legislative Assistant for two years prior to that. He also served as Legislative Assistant for a Minnesota Senator. Jon is a graduate of Saint Cloud State University – Saint Cloud, MN with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & International Relations. He is also completing a law degree with the Mitchell Hamline School of Law – Saint Paul, MN.
