Small businesses support budget resolution to make the expiring 20% Small Business Deduction permanent
WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 9, 2025) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, announced that the Graham amendment to H.Con.Res 14 will be an NFIB Key Vote for the 119th Congress. NFIB sent a letter to the U.S. House of Representatives in support of the budget resolution. If enacted, this will allow Congress to use the budget reconciliation process to make the 20% Small Business Deduction permanent.
“Making the 20% Small Business Tax Deduction permanent is the most important action Congress can take to help small businesses this year,” said Adam Temple, NFIB Senior Vice President for Advocacy. “Passing the Graham amendment is the first step in achieving this outcome. NFIB strongly supports the Graham amendment to H.Con.Res.14 and it will be considered an NFIB Key Vote for the 119th Congress.”
